WHO, NOT WHAT
Paul Comfort explained his love for the Lord to a new convert he was mentoring.
“I love my mother because she is my mother, not just for what she has done for me, though she has done much. My two granddaughters are too young to do anything for me; I love them because they are in my bloodline.
“It is that way with God. To love Him for what He can do for me is a fickle love that asks, ‘What have You done for me lately?’ I love God because He is my Father, my Brother, and the Spirit within me…and that love will never fade.”
