TYLER PITCHES FOR THE HOLY SPIRIT TEAM
I received a call yesterday from Tyler, the ex-inmate I’m mentoring. He was as excited as excited could be. I’ll let him tell the story.
I reconnected with a guy named Dillon who I’d been good friends with in grade school until I started doing drugs and he didn’t. We’ve been talking a lot for the past few weeks.
He said to me, “I’ve seen you’re a different person. Why?”
I answered, “Because I have Jesus within me.” He was going through a rough time in his life and asked what my resources were for learning about Jesus. I told him, “The Bible. Do you have one?” He didn’t so I gave him one and recommended he also read about Jesus on a couple of online addresses I gave him. I suggested he put his heart in a place of surrender and share his brokenness with Jesus and ask Him into his life.
He made a commitment yesterday to do just that, and he’s going to church with me this Sunday.
I’ve left out a few pieces or this blog would be too long. When he finished his story, I said, “Score one for the Holy Spirit.” Tyler laughed.

This is wonderful news Pat!
Oh that we might have a heart and a love such as Tyler’s where we readily and unashamedly share the good news with others!
