THREE POTS OF BOILING WATER
There was a single mother with a teen-age daughter who complained about all the troubles she had at school and work, on her soccer team, and with all her friends, especially her boyfriend. She was complaining to her mother about all these things one afternoon after arriving home early from school.
Her mother said, “I’m going to show you something Mary Ann. Come into the kitchen.” The mother put three pots of water on the stove and brought them to a boil. She then put a raw carrot in the first pot, a raw egg in the second, and coffee beans in the third, and let them all boil for three minutes. At the end of that time, she pulled out the hard carrot and it was soft, the soft egg was now hard, and the coffee beans were transformed into a flavorful drink.
“The boiling water represents what God can do with all your difficulties. When you have problems that are too hard for you to handle, God can soften them up. When you feel you’re too soft to deal with difficult people, God can toughen you up. And when your life seems as useless as a handful of unused coffee beans, God can change you into something that gives people a boost when they need it.”

This is a great illustration. With God all things are possible. That includes how we handle life’s challenges
