THE REST OF THE REST OF THE STORY
When I talked with Raphael two days after the hearing in Anoka, I was still very upset with his public defender and let Raphael know it. He listened to me vent but didn’t say anything. I told him he still needed to be cordial to the guy because he’d probably have one more dealing with him at the formality of a sentencing at the end of January. Raphael’s response was simple and heartfelt. “I pray for him…that he’ll become less cynical and more caring for future clients.”
Lord, here is a person in jail for eight years that is more tuned into Your mercy than I am, not just for himself but for others. Help me react to others with Your mercy rather than my self-focused judgment; may I learn from him.

Here is an example of grace received…..can be given to others. Pat I believe this friend of yours is demonstrating his passing along to his public defender the grace he has received….just the way Jesus would want him to do. May the Lord bless both of you.
