Last Friday evening I saw the presence of God in the large classroom of the Wright County Jail. While explaining the plan of salvation to 11 women, a few of them started crying, one so uncontrollably that two other women came over and hugged her.
The Holy Spirit filled that room and came down on those 11 (it reminded me of Pentecost), and I was blessed to see His presence ministering to them. Of those who came up after the presentation, one said, “That’s exactly what I needed to hear.”
When I told them all they had to do to transform their lives was to follow Jesus, they asked, “How do we do that?” What an opening! But what I said didn’t save or transform any of them. I was only the deliverer of The Good News. It was the Holy Spirit who did the work. His presence.
