TERROR IN THE STREETS
My wife and I were in London exactly one month ago. It was peaceful and vibrant. Now there is terror in the streets. What can we make of it?
First of all, it is not surprising. Satan brought evil into this world in the Garden of Eden; and ever since, good and evil have been locked in a war that will only end when Jesus returns. Every inch of this earth is contested ground. There is no sitting on the fence, no playing it safe. You must take one side or another.
Do something good today, in the name of Jesus Christ, without whom we can do nothing. Say hello to a stranger. Offer encouragement to a struggling friend. Write that thank you note you have meant to send. In such small ways, you can introduce a little bit of good into this world. You can be on the winning side. Make no mistake about it. In the end, God wins. The Bible tells us so.
