SITTING IN MCDONALDS AT 6 A.M.
I had time to meditate this morning because the person I was to meet with didn’t show up.
What world have you given us, Lord, that a deranged man would kill 50 people in Orlando? As if it were Your fault. But it isn’t, not at all, unless giving us free will was somehow a mistake.
The original sin of pride and doing things our own way was bequeathed to us by our first ancestors – Adam and Eve. And we have been following their lead ever since, especially some of us, like Omar Mateen.
There is but one answer to this fallen world: His name is Jesus Christ and He has told us, “Take heart, for I have overcome the world.” Good-meaning people suggest we do this and that to rid the world of evil, but it only gets worse. There is only one answer. Pray for revival.
