PRAY FOR JOE AND YOURSELVES
I have been visiting Joe in a county jail once a week for the past few months. He is a hardheaded and angry young man who sees himself as a victim of the legal system and not as the perpetrator of a crime. You see, Joe has accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior but not as his Lord.
I haven’t been able to get through to him, but then again, I’m really not able to get through to any of the inmates I minister to. God does His work through me. Besides, Joe does not need more information; he needs more submission.
Pray for Joe that the Holy Spirit will convict him of his self-sufficiency and bring him to a place where he allows Christ to become greater and himself to become less. Come to think of it, isn’t that what we all need to pray for ourselves.

Pat, So well said. God has given you wisdom, not explaining, not justifying, wisdom. Joe really does need to let go and let God – submitting to His power to deal with the impossible task of restoring our broken, full of sin kind of life.
