PASSIVITY

Life flows smoothly for me when I let God be in charge of my soul (mind, will, and emotions). Not that there aren’t problems, conflicts, and troubles; but when He takes care of them, they are manageable.

Yesterday, I did not let Him be in charge in two instances that ended badly. I was full of myself instead of Him. It was my rightness, my aggressive will, and my self-centered emotions. Early this morning the Holy Spirit convicted me of running over (figuratively speaking) two different people, as I have prayed He will convict me whenever I’m on my own.

Holy Spirit, give me a passivity to myself today and a sensitivity to God within me. May His mind fill mine, His will bend mine, and His emotions rule the day. Amen.
