Well, my wife and I enjoyed the warmth (relatively speaking) of Southern California and Arizona and are now back into the snow and cold of Minnesota. That’s kind of the way life goes isn’t it? All warm and sunny for a season and then suddenly cold and cloudy without warning. Take a look at the verse below.
Psalm 86:7 In the day of my trouble I will call on You, for You will answer me.
David had his ups and downs, and in the days of trouble he called on the Lord. Don’t we do the same thing? But David also called on the Lord in his days of prosperity. You can read all about that in his many psalms praising God for all His blessings and asking Him to go with him everywhere.
It struck me today, as I read this verse, that I should call on the Lord when everything is going well for me. I don’t always do so.
