I DON’T KNOW YOU
But he will answer, “I don’t know you or where you come from.” – Luke 13:25
Paul Chambers was meeting with a member of his church who thought he was a noble Christian. After all, he was a regular church-goer, a deacon, a tither, and a doer of this and that to please Jesus.
Paul explained to Mike that all he was doing for Jesus was from his standpoint and under his control. He wasn’t following Jesus; he was going ahead, trusting that Jesus was following him. When Paul read verses 25 – 27 in Luke 13, Mike gasped with the realization of what this meant.
