If you’ll remember, my friend Tony was let out of jail a week ago last Saturday and found himself freezing in his deceased father’s home before calling 911 and ending up in a Minneapolis hospital mental health unit. I asked for suggestions, and some of you offered them. Thank you.
However, God had the answer to Tony’s plight. Last Tuesday, I was meeting by Zoom with an inmate named Juan, who, interestingly enough was Tony’s celly (cell mate) before Tony was released. I told him the same story I told you about his old celly and as we were talking about that, the Holy Spirit put an idea in my head that I brought to Juan’s attention. Juan has a job waiting for him when he gets out of jail in mid-March. Tony is unable to hold a livable wage job long term.
The details of our discussion would take a few paragraphs to relate, so I’ll cut to the denouement. Juan agreed to take Tony in as a roommate when he gets a place, and Tony thankfully accepted that. It near brought him to tears. I expect many of you were praying for a good outcome for Tony, and I expect that made a difference with God, who is involved in our lives more than we can imagine.
