GOD IS GOOD

God is good…all the time. It’s hard to grasp that when you’re in a prison cell locked up 22-24 hours a day (24 when there’s a lockdown) with a murderer who wants to beat someone up so he can release his anger. If that weren’t bad enough, Raphael was informed he would be in that place for three years.

How is it with you? Do you have a situation or circumstance that seems hopeless? Are you locked up with a troublesome co-worker, a family member going through hard times, an illness that threatens to undo you? And yet Raphael trusted God with his life, though it all seemed hopeless.

In the last posting, I informed you that Raphael was transferred to another prison in three months instead of three years. He’s no longer in a cell but a dorm-type setting with seven other prisoners. He has the freedom to be out of his area until noon and was assigned a job within the prison that starts at 2 p.m. From where he was to where he is now is the difference between night and day. Though he sinned so grievously to be imprisoned for eight years, God is yet good to him…all the time.
