DEPRESSION!
Tyler, the ex-prisoner I have been mentoring, has not responded to my requests to get together. If you’ll remember, he’s the guy who planned to end his life the day he got out of prison. Here’s a text exchange with him.
“What’s happening with you, Tyler? Are you all right? Remember, I will never condemn you, no matter what you do. It is not safe for you to be on your own. Please get back to me.”
“Sorry, I’m still sober but just really depressed.”
“That’s why you need to meet with me. I know what you’re going through. Remember I told you I went through major depression. You can’t make it out on your own. You need others to help you. Please give me a call.”
The text exchange was yesterday. Please pray that Tyler will get back to me today.
