BAD MEDICINE

Bad Medicine is a spring-fed lake located in northern Minnesota, about 150 miles from the Canadian border. It’s so named because early Native Americans in the area thought a lake with no outlet was a place of bad medicine and would neither hunt nor fish near it. It’s like that with our souls. The spirit of a believer, wherein lives the Holy Spirit, feeds his or her soul. But holding in those living waters for our own edification and sanctification is bad medicine in the eyes of the Lord. Jesus wants us to advance His kingdom here on earth, and we can only do so if there is an outlet to the Spirit-fed waters of our inner being. We need to share Jesus with our fellow believers, those wavering,  and those lost.
