A LONG-TERM COMMITMENT
Two weeks ago, I didn’t know Tyler existed. Now I do, and the responsibility to mentor him weighs heavily on me. If you’ll remember from last Tuesday’s blog, he was planning to commit suicide when he got out of prison before the Holy Spirit assigned me to him during a Sunday Gideon presentation at the county jail. I talked to him earlier this week and he told me thoughts of suicide are not as strong now, but they are still hanging around in the dark edges of his mind. He seems to be doing better. It would be good if he could get a job.
I will meet with Tyler again next Monday. Please pray for wisdom for me and a receptive soul for him. This is not something that will work itself out by natural efforts.
