I GROW COLD

During my God Time this morning, I was convicted by Revelation 2:4&5

Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love. Remember the height from which you have fallen. Repent and do the things you did at first.

I have been too careful of late, not wanting to wear my religion on my sleeve, as if there were anywhere else to wear it. I have not given God my best between Thanksgiving and the upcoming Christmas. I have been too busy. My agenda has been too full with other things.

I grow cold…I grow cold…
I keep my spiritual life in my pocket rolled.

Do I dare to speak of God?
Will others think me oh so odd?

Where’s the flame I had of old?
Where’s the witness once so bold?

Help me, Lord, to show Your flame;
Make Your life and mine the same.
