SEEKING GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART

My friend Joseph was telling me about the days following his conversion at the age of 38. “I was trying to make up for lost time by reading the Bible morning, noon, and night. One morning I got stuck on the 13^th verse of Jeremiah 29: ‘You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.’

“I meditated on that verse for two days but was still perplexed. Over coffee, I met with a trusted Christian friend and asked the question: ‘How can I seek God with all my heart?’ He laughed. ‘You can’t; no one can.’ Then he opened his Bible to John 16:13&14 and gave the right answer. ‘You can’t seek God on your own,  but the Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth and make God known to you.’ ”

Are you seeking God with all your heart? Are you letting the Holy Spirit guide and influence you to do so?
